The Casino de Barcelona celebrated on 9th of September from 14:00 hours the end of the Spanish stage of the sixth season of the European Poker Tour (EPT) on PokerStars.com. This championship is the most popular poker competition in Europe because of its high level of participation as having the largest prize pool. EPT events are held in casinos more emblematic of the Old Continent, such as the Casino de Barcelona, bringing together the best poker players in the world. Given the importance of this championship, EPT offers its televised tournaments around the world.

The sixth season of the EPT started in Kiev and took place from 18 to 23 August, while the Casino de Barcelona is celebrating the second stop since last September 4, with an entry price of 8,300 euros. Among the novelties of this edition is the incorporation of Kiev (Ukraine) and Vilamoura (Portugal) as new stops in this circuit. As is tradition, the sixth season will conclude with the prestigious Grand Final in Monaco, the event with the biggest jackpots in the world of poker.

The Casino de Barcelona has gathered in this edition of the EFA to a total of 478 players from around the world who have raised the prize to 3,824,000 euros. As the winner of the tournament, coming up tomorrow in the final, expect a prize of 850,000 euros. Of the 478 participants, 44 are Spanish, a pretty good number, second only to Italy's 46 players and 55 of the United States. France and Germany have equalized for Spain with 44 enrolled.
